If the wattmeter does not read zero with no load connected, press and hold the select button for a few seconds to re-zero it. Kind of an unusual feature.

@magna59, the price of LIPO batteries are coming down all the time. I can get three batteries this year for what I was paying for one 18 months ago. I'd buy them from a reputable dealer as some of the larger capacity cells are also very large physically. Hobbyking do some great deals.

Are you sure that it charges low volt cells from high volt cells whilst balancing? I believe that it simply discharges the higher volt cells to the same level as the lowest volt cell.

@kingjamez80, I've just checked this and you're right. It does discharge the cells with a higher voltage down to the voltage fo the lowest cell.
