It's called a rim click or rimshot. It's hard to explain Without showing you . If I have a chance I'll post another video showing the rimshot.Just don't know how soon.

Hey man I watched all of your videos and have to say your groove is one of the rockiest and smoothest I've ever been pleasured to hear.Plenty of creativity as well. Maybe the only thing is that you seem far from being relaxed when you play,maybe only apparently though..
