This spiritually powerful movie is completely underrated.

I saw Resurrection during its original release in 1980. I was so moved by the story and the performances, In addition to that, it is entertaining from beginning to end. I sat in the theater for three screenings of the movie. 103 minutes of pure movie magic. Thank you for posting.

This is weird, but I seem to remember that she is lying there at first after the accident and sees Jesus standing there, and her husband going to him. Now it's not on the film. This sort of thing has been happening a LOT to me lately. I loved the film, and especially loved that part. I have a very good memory. I can't explain this!

I bought this movie on VHS 20 years ago before it disappeared. I copied it to DVD. It's so old that it's before the time that they started laser scanning the original neg masyers, and therefore shows the TV scan lines a bit. I love it so much I'll consider cutting it up and posting it as it's a much better copy than here. My only comment is Farnsworth doesn't ask permission to heal her, nor she to heal the little boy at the end. But just doing it and not talking about it is also very powerful.

I have a VHS copy but having it on youtube makes it easy to share. (Thanks for posting!)
This is one of the greatest movies ever made about deep truth of life on earth. And Ellen Burstyn is a magnificent actress - the best!!
I have watched this movie over 20 times and I never tire of it's sacred revelations. We NEED THAT these daze....

@krzifngrs That's called mind over matter, and it's something anyone can do if they believe and focus enough. It's different though, than the kind of thing that they show here.

Very beautiful and well done movie. Sad and moving at a few parts. Ellen did great, as always. :) This should be required viewing for anyone that likes Ellen.

In case anyone hasn't said it, I will go ahead and say that what it says about it not being out on DVD is incorrect. It must have come out since this was posted. It is available on Amazon for those who would like to buy it.

I wish they released this on DVD as there are many out there who would love this, but most copies out there at present are bootleg copies and they are not a good print or cost the world.

I think you can buy this movie from checking out Amazon but they are not cheap, new on VHS can set you back at $75.00 and up and used from $22.00 and up which I can't believe this movie is so hard to find.
