  • Wow, I was wondering how this happened. I went and took a look at the route after I heard the hold broke off. A pretty big chunk of rock! There was a small amount of glue put there when the route was first bolted (like ten years ago). I guess there wasn't enough!

  • I thing a very small amount of glue put there for the huge flake... You think is possible now?

  • @devilaces 5 meters? Does the ground drop off in front of where he jumps?

  • its the reason to use a grigri

  • could you imagine if the guy didn't stick clip first? that huge piece of rock would have landed on him after a ~5m fall.

sort of changes how you think of the expression "rock solid" too

  • Ben Harden did this last summer with new beta. It's a bit harder but climbs nicer without the glued on jug.

  • you should bolt the flake back on

  • Dude you broke a legend I wouldn't put this on Youtube the locals will hunt you down and sick their sasquatsh on you ... lol I'm kidding but it is kinda sad. Though I'm not going to pretend like I was ever going to climb 5.14

  • Son of a bitch! I was planning on trying that climb this summer!

  • 49 sec....Check it..... Good thing shes using a Grigri...

  • haha good thing no one was under it when the we litt'l wafer snapped!
