Running Clear Sky Complete Mod. This game is still pretty demanding.

Roaming around the Garbage, Agroprom and the Red Forest killing Bandits, mutants and doing a little artifact hunting at the end. Sun shafts are turned down to low because if set to high, they kill your performance for no real increase in image quality. They sure do look nice though.

Recorded @ 60FPS for your viewing pleasure.

FPS while not recording: 45-150, averages around 60

My setup for comparison reference:
Phenom II x6 1090T @ 4GHz
Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H
Radeon HD5970 @ 850/1200
G.Skill Ripjaw Series 8GB @ 7-7-7-21
WD Caviar Black 1TB

  • By far the worst scopes I have ever used in a game and ruined the night vis of the seva too. Tried to play this game 6x mod or not and never did finish it. Can not get the 1 flash drive in cordon and if you save at npp die or stop playing and start again streloks health bar disappears and you can not kill him 10 patches and still can not finish a game sucks. SOC is my fav cop is ok- cs runs the best for me tho. I will not buy anymore from gsc. GSC and Bethesda make the most buggy games.

  • @ezeht

The stock scopes are pretty horrible, I don't like the 'staring down a tunnel' view. For me the game was alright, It wasn't 100% but it was alright. Definitely not the best in the series. I had to install mods in order to get the game to my liking, hell, I even had to install a Freeplay mod so I could go around and explore.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear AF takes 1 - 2 out of your framerate in the worst conditions possible, never seen it actually take any of my framerate in any game, turning it down will just give you 1 - 2 fps at best back... trust me, there's no difference. When you start the game with new game, be sure not to have sun rays cuz those will ruin your performance, without those it should work like a brezze.

  • wow I have Ati Readeon HD 3600 1 GB My Computer is to slow for dx 10 :(

  • Dude, I just bought this game on Steam, and I have to say, it REALLY is demanding. I cranked everything up except resolution (playing at 1280x1024) and I was getting a very choppy framerate. It made it more or less unplayable.

So I'm turning down AF and AA. I had the AF bar at max, which probably wasn't a great idea, haha.

  • clear sky map is totally recycled from SoC! not saying that's bad, i just noticed it

  • Good! Nice graphics!

    I love this video!

    Thumbs Up!

  • @Yellowswift3 Ey thanks for the feedback, I thought it might be the gpu :P If things get really intolerable, I'll consider getting crossfire, the 6870's are relatively cheap too atm. But for now, 2xAA and low sunrays gets me 35-55 FPS, which is very playable. Good hunting to you too ;)

  • @Goblexter

    Hi,

That's a nice set-up you have but with the greatest of respect the gpu will most likely be the reason why you're getting 30fps. I must admit anti-aliasing does makes mine slow down somwhat but all other settings I am able to max, with fps of at lowest around 25 to well over 100. I tend to average around 40 - 70 with 2xAA, using a 4870X2, 4gb ddr3 ram and an overclocked Q6600.

Now if you were to crossfire your 6870, that would be something special. ;)

    Good hunting stalker!
