The final song from the musical, "The Little Match Girl," loosely based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale of the same name. Written and performed by Emily C. A. Snyder. This musical is still a work in progress, however, this is the final song of the play.
LYRICS:
1. So many nights I watched you
As you struggled with your demons
Or the shadows racing cross your wall
And so many times I whispered
Though I knew you couldn't listen:
"They were only shadows after all"
REFRAIN:
For there's a world outside these walls you've built
And there's a world beyond your fears
And if you would only trust your hand in mine
I would show you there's a paradise
Outside of Eden
2. And I watched the shadows chase you
From twilight to early morning
'Til it seemed you were a shadow, too
When just outside your window
From twilight to early morning
I loved and longed and called to you
That there's a world (etc. refrain)
BRIDGE: And love will come and lead us home (repeat)
This is so beautiful...

@gaeliclas Thanks so much! Yes, it's from a musical I'm in the middle of writing, so the song's original. Thank you sooooo much! (Have some of the music...like sheet music?)
