I saw them open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the old Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre and I must say I was probably there to the Plimsouls! I went with Lisa, I wish I knew where Lisa was now

I thought so too, but it is the correct speed. I have an old cassette from 82, off KROQ and it does sound a tick faster, but I have done research that shows some radio stations turntables were a few ticks faster than the real speed, as I have noticed many songs to have this same thing also...so I'll keep it this way, that this should be the real correct mixed speed. Thx.
