  • @weeman516 true. if this thing was running during a normal shower i wouldnt worry too much. however wouldnt leave it uncoverd/unrunning in the rain tho. cause yes. hydrolocks suck. ive had to tear down engines like this. it is not fun. ( untili get paid for it lol)

  • sweet

  • @weeman516

    exactly!

thats why they even sell kits to spray water into intake as a charge cooler.

I have seen people put bits of paper into intake also as a joke to fire sparkly bits at people standing near exhaust!!

  • @weeman516 let me just say that i dont mean you can go drive any diesel like that through a lake cuz they will hydrolock faster than you know what happened but some rain wont hurt them

  • @tpvalley i can tell you from experience some water in the intake is not gonna hurt any diesel especially not a two stroke detroit i have personally witnessed one suck a note book in the intake and push it out with out even batting an eye at most the water is just gonna cool down your cylinder temps and get a little more power out of it

  • @corypalmer69

if it had wipers then yes no problem.

have u seen where truck intakes normally are and how they r set up?

they r a big open scoop on the end of a long pipe.

  • @tpvalley so your saying you'd drive this truck in the rain with the intake system setup like it is? irregardless projects like this never see rain because you want it to stay as beautiful as possible. so logically if the truck will never see rain, why put wipers on it? its a show truck, not a daily driver.

  • @corypalmer69

dont know why u think that, have u never heard of water injection as a charge cooler?

u can suck in quite a lot of water before u lock up; ( an engine with one cylinder and 500cc with a 10:1 CR would need 50cc of water each stroke to lock so @ 6000rpm u would need 5litres a second to lock on a 2 stroke)!!

  • @tpvalley hahahahhahaha you really gonna drive that in the rain? youd water lock the motor in 5 min in a drizzle

  • you live in glendale.. DRIVE THIS SUMBITCH!
