Kenneth Owler Smith Symposium: Global Recession: Public Relations Calamity or Opportunity?
USC Annenberg and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Los Angeles present the 19th annual Kenneth Owler Smith Symposium. This year's panelists include Don Spetner, executive vice president, corporate affairs for Korn Ferry; Margery Kraus, chair-elect of the Council of Public Relations Firms; and Phyllis Piano, vice president, corporate communications and philanthropy at Amgen. The keynote address will be delivered by Paul Holmes, globally renowned industry analyst and journalist, who will offer his global perspective on how the industry is doing under current economic conditions and areas of opportunity and weakness. Dean Ernest J. Wilson III will give welcoming remarks, and Geoffrey Cowan, Annenberg Family Chair in Communication Leadership will moderate. Quality of Service and/or Product should mean more than money. If public relations acts in concert with that concept, then good.
