This is an old video I found while browsing through an old hard drive, Sam has since cleared up (around 3 or 4 months of age) and is now a happy little toddler, as you can see from the rest of my videos (all can be easily found at samcam.ca). I am just putting this video up so people can see what to expect when dealing with Dacrocystoceles.

Our daughter is all better now, but she was born with a mild infection in her right tear duct called "Dacrocystoceles", where the duct would get clogged with puss fairly quickly, the video shown was very little draining than usual, it would drain clear, and then finish up with an opaque milky substance. Its not harming to the infant at all as long as you drain it every 3 or 4 hours and apply eye/ear drops, I dont recall what kind, if you need to know, ask your family doctor. Draining it, as you can see in the video can be heart breaking to watch or perform, but must be done.

This condition is usually cleared up in most infants by three months of age, but if it persists at 8 months an invasive procedure may need to be done to clear the tear duct out.

  • I mean seriously, you have your stupid camera in her face, and your watching your child hysterically cry,its just so gross and sick.

  • @Pinkaliciousxo31 Did you even read? The doctor TOLD us to do this, SHOWED us how to do it, he was even more hard on her than we were, we were holding back. If we had not done this, she would have had to have SURGERY, but because we did this, her infection was GONE after 3 months. Read before you make an idiot of yourself. Google the condition, do something, dont just run out and announce your idiocy.

  • I have never seen such abuse in my life, you should be ashamed of yourself having a god damn camera so close up to your baby's face and video tapping it is even sicker.and hurting your baby?Wow really, what great parents you are.Pushing your finger in her eye?um yeah, not very smart.Ever heard of a doctor before?

  • @Pinkaliciousxo31 Watch this video to see what would have happened to her if we had not done what our doctor told us to do: youtube.com/watch?v=D3CFXTTVSxo

  • Damn abusive!! Bring it to the doctor... Jesus christ what type of parentinging is that..

  • @eckolistik The doctor is who showed us how to do this as it HAD to be done or her tear duct would burst and become infected. Check out any of my video's of Sam, as you can see she turned out just fine.

  • This is a simple , common, and GENTLE procedure used to insure clear passage of the tear ducts. This therapy is far easier and causes far less trauma than the surgery required IF this type of therapy does not work as the ducts will need to be cleared mechanically. Kudos to the parents for NOT jumping directly to the knife and for have the patience and persistence to treat this properly despite the protestations of the baby. Small discomfort for a big pay-off.

  • @ROBLOXDUDE1231 A lot of evil people don't consider themselves evil.

  • Thanks for this video,I find it very helpfull because we have the same problem with our 2 mounths old boy...I know it looks like terrible torture but what we can do if it helps to drain the secretion and clean the eye and the doctors also recommends this metod which I think is more uncomfortable than painfull(i know,my baby cryes that way sometimes even if he's only hungry)that's life, painfull from the start.,but we just must do what is needed to prevent surgical interventions and complications

  • People saying this is child abuse are fucking ridiculous?!?! Probably 12 year old girls.

  • I've been using my breast milk to help open up my babys tear duct...so far its worked amazingly well...we also do the massages and warm compress.

  • dont take me as evil but why am i enjoying this :P

  • I know this was more painful for you than it was for the baby, she is so young she wont remember any of this however i know the memory of having to do something that gave your child pain will last alot longer with yourselves, just remember its to make her better, just like when you have to tell them no when they want things that will hurt them, same difference really

  • @Pinkaliciousxo31 They did bring there baby to the doctor. The doctor did the same thing AND the doctor wanted them to video tape it while they did it at home. Please grow a brain before you type with your little fat sausage fingers and try to 'tell' them what they shoulda/coulda/done. They are the smart ones, not you.

  • I'm sorry there are so many idiots on youtube like to throw judgement esp towards parents to make there own parenting feel better. Or to feel important! I'm surprised Parents even upload any videos at all it's not like anyone on here appreciates anything. 90% comments are from Useless idiots who judge but don't no nothing. This is why I have a seperate account and set my videos on private! Anyway You baby is beautiful I hope i never have to go threw any of that when i have a child, Goodluck!

  • I am not watching a video.Your doctor told you to have a camera right up in your child's face?Your doctor told you to video tape doing that to your child?
