  • Прекрасне й чудове відео, українські дівчата завжди гарні й чарівні з яскравим кольорам!

    Дуже приємно, друг з Канади.

  • Kachyr, I don't read Russian even though my daughter is stuydying it with her best friend from St. Petersburg. So how about changing your comment to English? Spasibo? Steve

  • To correct you, Kachyr, hopak is associated with central and eastern Ukraine, especially the Zaporozhtsi, rather than western Ukraine... Western Ukrainian dances would be the dances of tthe Hutsuls, Lemko, Bukhovinians etc., which are very different!

  • beautiful!

  • @UnStevie Kachyr It's unfortunate you don't read Ukrainian either (the language in which Kachyr wrote his comment). Dyakuyu! : )

  • Дякую діаспорі, яка так цінує та розвиває українські традиції. Приїздіть до нас у гості, а як захочете то й залишайтеся з нами. Вітання з України!

  • @kachyr I appreciate your enthusiasm for Ukrainian culture, but the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada has spanned 5 generations & the information you provided UnStevie regarding the origins of the Hopak was based on misinformation. The Hopak is a dance from Velyka Ukraiina (Poltava, to be accurate), not a Western Ukrainian dance. I am of Cossack lineage & can assure you that it is an Eastern Ukrainian dance, NOT Western Ukrainian!

My intention is not to be derisive, I assure you. Pryvit z avstralii!

  • @UnStevie Kachyr, while being respectful is, in fact, incorrect. The Hopak is from Poltava (near where Zaphorozhian Sich was). I am from Poltava & of direct Cossack lineage. It is NOT a Western Ukrainian dance but an extension of the Ukrainian Cossack culture in Eastern Ukraine.

While proud of his Ukrainian heritage, he is confused. The Ukrainian diaspora in Canada is huge & spans 5 generations. Their enthusiasm is laudable, but not always accurate!.. but we DO speak Ukrainian, not Russian.

  • Гоп, кума нэ журыся - в Махны гроши завелыся...

  • Andriy,

Thank you. Great job! I will com this year to Malanka.

  • Saludos de Chile!! son los mejores bailarines !!! grandiosos, Viva los Cosacos!!!!,Viva los Ucranianos!

  • Is it bad that the biggest thought in my mind right now is, "Point your toes!!!"?

  • @Odette016 This is Ukrainian dancing, costumes and music not Russian

  • Everything about Russia is very interesting ... For that, I'm learning Russian in a website !!!... It's free and you can really learn a lot.
