I just fired up my Kinect's IR lights, and got my wireless mouse some batteries, yeah it's very anoying to get it perfect, but my mouse's red light brightens up right from the oposite side of the room when it sees Kinects IR, plus if you point a remote at the red light on your mouse, press any button, the mouse will brighten up :D
