tavspop, I fear the erosion of our liberties and the never ending growth of the federal government more than I fear illegal felons. For every illegal here there is probably a 2nd generation latino working for the dhs who is even lazier than their illegal counterparts. This is the real cost of illegal immigration in this country: barely literate 2nd gen. amigos making 70k/yr w/ full benefits and ful retirement after 20 yrs. Wake up! This is all a smoke screen for the coming US police state!

@wirebead Run a google search on how many felonies are commited by illegals each year. How many illegals occupy our prisons. How much money illegal immigration costs citizens.

We're getting to the point where we're ready to accept a police state to get rid of these illegals. It's sad, but I guess criminals, by definition, do not obey the law.

AND b0219u .... they will trample the constitutitonal rights of anyone who opposes them: citizen or not. warrantless searches, drugging deportees, no due process. Oh yeah, these guys are good americans. Do some google searches and find out how many ICE & DHS employees run afoul of the law. Do a search and find out how they are regarded by fellow law enforcement agencies.

It is quite a simple message being sent, that if you come here illegally, you run the risk of being deported. They won't care if you have kids or how long you have been here. If they find you, they will take you.

If you break the immigration law you pay the price, as you should.
