Oh lol I love this because it's actually true. I watch this movie to get ideas. If you like music and understand how the popular music works and the less popular music that is underneath that at the same time, you get every joke in this film.

This scene is how me and many friends and family members live. My Cds are is influencial order, starting with David Bowie.

Essentially it means that he's organizing his vinyl record collection in chronological order, representing the history, or calender of events that occurred during his life. For example; sometimes it's easier to remember names if they are in some way emotionally connected to a certain event in ones own history.

I wouldn't say i'm a HUGE collector, but I'm a moderate vinyl collector. that being said, I even know that you should NEVER stack your records on top of each other like pancakes. it ruins them.
