Setting up a job fair would seem simple...call up some employers...set up some tables...tell some job seekers...
EASY!
NAW! the killer of the success of a job fair is in the details...the larger the job fair the more unbelievable that amount of details...attention to them and in getting them all working before you open the door to the job seekers is like a military operation... Back in 2006, we attended Arizona's Employer's Advisory Council's "Take the Road to Success" Career Expo (over 200 employers) here in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the grand daddy of all Arizona Job Fairs and the overwhelming logistics of employers, event planners, staff and volunteers working towards that opening of the doors was very impressive. We have tried in a very small way to document the feeling, the energy and work that went into "Setting up the Job Fair..." We had WWWG Productions would like to thank George Thorne, Santos Rodriguez; all the staff/volunteers and mostly the 200 employers that helped to put many Arizonans back to work that day.
