If the phone was a little less thick, it would have been perfect. But it seems better than all other phones in almost all other areas.

Wow. You're really stretching the boundaries of negativity if you're going to call the HTC G2 a debacle. I'm still using mine....rooted, oc'd and running MIUI. Its been flawless since the first week of its release. One of the best phones (design, reliability, performance) I've ever owned.....and I have fifty cell phones sitting around the house. The build quality of the Amaze seems perfect to me. Love the one piece backplate. Screen is beautiful. Rootable!!

Will never buy an htc phone again! I got sucked into the whole G2 debacle (loose hinges, horrid screen in sunlight and crappy external speaker) then again with the thunderbolt (horrible battery life same horrid screen & speaker) its Samsung or nothing for me from here on out typed from my Epic 4G touch (GSII) :)

I'm so jaded by the whole Vibrant debacle, that I want the Amaze, just to not give money to Samsung.
I traded my Vibrant (straight up) for a hacked HD2! That ruined GPS & lack of support was destined for #NeverAgain. SGS2 looks great, but I don't trust 'em....

Dasgrottesca needs to go to read a book or something think of it like SD card your phone may come with an 8 gigabyte SD card you might be able to download a video at 8megabits per second,ignorance is annoying

hhdivil 1000kb equals 1 megabit so 8megabits equals 8000 kb megabits is to speed as a megabyte is SD storage
