This was written in December 1847 by John Ruskin, an English writer, artist and philosopher to Effie Gray, whom he eventually married. However, his insights were correct. The marriage was never consummated and they divorced six years later.

  • Knowing what I know about Ruskin and his, um, trepidation about some beautiful aspects of the female form, I have to listen again, and may want to bring in a psychoanalyst.... Interesting!
