Jim's company sold their ownership over the Muppet Show Muppets to Disney. Jim was going to do this anyway. The company sold the Sesame Muppets to Sesame Workshop, which remains nonprofit. Jim didn't really have control over the show; it wasn't his show. His death didn't mean any new ownership. Elmo was a background character, but the kids loved him. Had it not been for the KIDS' demand, Elmo wouldn't be popular or run half the show. Cookie Monster, btw, still loves cookies.

this is so cute. Seseme street should STOP. After Jim died, his son has Sold it to disney and the show is all about How much they can profit. ELMO has wrecked the show. And its all "hello boys and girls" like, and not a street with stories on the street like it was. And oscar and"snuffleupagus" changed to be LESS important. They worry about ADULT views of them and not KIDS. cooky not eating Cookies?
The show is the elmo show with that god awful Falsesetto. REAL ORIGINAL! NOT!
