One of the most mesmerizing scenes ever filmed. It just brightly proclaims the true power and unexplicable magic of cinema.

Enlightening trilogy... I watched all 3 in a single day not knowing who Kieslowski was back then. I was completely blown by the sheer sophistication in story telling. Definitely unrated.

The films of Kieslowski touch me more deeply than any others, in particular the two he made with Irene Jacob. They clearly had a dynamite relationship.
Perhaps Kieslowski characterized the 'puppet master' in The Double Life of Veronique and the old man in Red upon himself, a decision unique to these two works. She was 'the girl he never met' as is illuminated during the final dialogue scenes; Jacob intrigued, mystified and, to some extent (if you believe in these things), beatified him.

One of a most beautiful actress.

"Blue" and "White" were great, but "Red" will always be my favorite in the trilogy. I loved the theme of fate. Excellent performance by the lovely and talented Irene Jacob. Preisner's music is pure magnificence.

Irene Jacob is stunning . . . Zbigniew Preisner's score is a perfect complement for this scene. Kieslowski is a genius director/auteur. "Les Trois Couleurs: Blanc, Bleu et Rouge" -- at the apex of flm making.
