MICHAEL is a cultural portal that aims to open up worldwide access to digital collections from Europe's museums, libraries and archives. Throught its multilingual service, people are able to find and explore the European digital cultural heritage using the Internet.
In Italy the MICHAEL project started the first systematic census of on- and off-line, digital collections available to the public from cultural institutions of all sectors.
