Smart Koi

A stray food stick, stuck on top of a lily pad above the water line is located by our koi. A good example of just how sensitive a fish's sense of smell is. Out of a hundred or so lily pads in the pond, he knew exactly where to go.

Most of the plants came from a local pond supply store, but many of the big home improvement stores have started selling pond plants. Our plants were all small when we brought them home. Everything has spread out and grown since then. Good luck.

No, actually thats not me but I take it as a compliment. I can see how you would think that; similar speech pattern to the "Sasha voice". That is a funny show and a funny bit. I used to listen to it alot when he was on the FM station.

Just a Butterfly Koi. We have had him almost ten years, since he was less than 2 inches. (5cm).

Koi fish are very very intelligent. They can be trained to do tricks like jumping thru hoops.
