The upload is a comparison between two songs: AR Rahman's "Aaromale" from Tamil movie "Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya" and Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here". Did Oscar winning, India born composer AR Rahman took liberty of Pink Floyd's notes? It's yours to listen and decide.

  • The music also similar to dave matthews band 27 and ai du ali farka toure so pink floyd copied from them or they copied pink floyd. The guitar is used as commercial loop and many others used this guitar piece so shut the f***k up and do your job.

  • Dosa and pizza looks similiar. But both differs in many. This can be said as the best example for dis case.

  • dude...chill...millions have grown up listening to Floyd...its inevitable that their influence (if any at all in this specific case) seeps into our music.. So If you have a problem, deal with it!...Rahman is a class act...in a league of his own...he doesn't need a crutch....never needed, not now, never will!

  • pink floyd are classic..........

    what a band they are..........

i don't mean to say i hate rahman.......

i hate harris,v.antony and all are faggots.....This mainstream music is fuckin' ugly and controversial........

    love Pink floyd!!!!!!!

  • yep, tune and pitch of both of them are same, but rahman made it more melodious. rahman has different taste in music. his is music is catchy.

  • Hahhaha u must be a fake in real life too... Before asking us listen to it carefully, I think u should do the same...

  • @sabirw what did you understood from this shitty comparison? thousands and thousands of Songs are played with the same chord progressions, say 'Take it easy' by the eagles flows like G,D,C and dylan's 'knockin' on heaven's door' follows the same pattern, both songs are in the key of G Major, does that mean don henley copied the tune from dylan, sheer shitty upload

  • @CopyCatARR I never understood what similarity you find between david gilmore's riff & rahman's, freedom of speech should be atleast logical, no resemblence between a progressive rock song's riff and a blues inspired rahman's riff, just sheer shit is what i conclude, i tried my level best to avoid profanity here, but couldn't

  • dude.... wtf.... just listen to the music and enjoy... stop worrying anout the fuckin details...!! he did nt get the Oscar or that Fame Just like that... there must be something spl..

  • May be he got inspired from this tune.. I find many similarities.. its lil bit similar to Eagle by ABBA as well.. its all coz of the open voicing.. What ARR does is he takes the progressions and the bass lines and does some slight modifications to it,. Well a few only.. There are some awesome compositions by ARR.. Maybe we wouldn`t have listened to those Original versions lol :P Good luck Sir :)
