These are good tips, but pretty obvious. And @GingerMyWinterWhite Try GENTLY picking it up with two fingers right in front of the hind legs, around the waist. Lift him/her up VERY gently and slowly, then slowly cup your hand under his/her belly. Cup your other hand around his/her back and hold him/her as to where his/her front paws are resting on your fingers. You can also try moving your hands in a way that the hamster can run across them. Like.... move one hand in front of the other at a time.

Tajpal123:if your afraid about picking your hamster up don't be it's perfectly easy. To start of feed her some food from your hand so she gets to trust you then put some food in your hand and try to gently push her onto your hands if you still have problems in about a week I'll make a video called how to handle a hamster. My hamster is called harry

@DerMeisterPfriem I'm sorry but your assumptions are very narrow-minded and uneducated. Hamster balls cannot possibly be "not good for your hamster", as with every pet, hamsters are all different and will act in completely different ways you cannot predict, no, not even you, O' omniscient one. My hamster rather enjoys his ball and becomes quite frustrated if he's not allowed to roll around every night.

When you get a hamster, its best to get it as young as possible, hamsters dont grow very fast, they usually are allready grown they their "origional size" when you get them mostly! A good age is a bit younger than 2 months as young hamsters adapt to new environments more easily and also get "tamed" quicker.
HOPE I HELPED!

Hamster Balls (sounds wrong! ) are not good for your hamster, they are trapped and dont know were they are, because they are so scared, they start to run because they want to escape! So I wouldnt use it any more! What you need to do is just to stay calm and try the tips that are in the video after a few days again! If you still have problems write me a message pls!
