My mom died 14 years ago, and I've always felt, like Eddie, that she's kind of there, up there, more or less where Eddie says, and I feel her sometimes. It's great to see that I'm not crazy, and it was Ed who made me realise that that might be normal:)
I watch these old vids of Pearl Jam, AIC, Soundgarden, Nirvana. I like the fact that Pearl Jam is still around, kind of a comforting feeling I was a teenager in the Puget Sound in the early 90's so this was it for music I notice there are many depressing posts about "todays music" and I even make some, but in reality, there can be no Pearl Jam, or Nirvana, anymore with the advent of itunes/digital file sharing. Getting a band together, paying your dues, the rise and fall, its all over, thoughts?
@dirtyfrank81 I respect your opinion but as you pointed out: "no one's voice is going to sound the same as it did when they were younger" which is exactly my point, which breaks my heart. I know how hard it is to sing like that for soo long, and I don't expect him to. If you examine the video Eddie pulls away cause his voice is cracking. It's a pro cover up for a mistake. I'm not dissing the man. His songs have become tame compared to the first three. ( By the way, love your Id name. :D)
@JasonLanzaBSR Im shocked at your comment. Any person can hear that Ed has just gotton better with age. He's not 20 years old, no one's voice is going to sound the same as it did when they were younger. But as I just pointed out to you, this is one man that has just gotton better with age. Any Pearl Jam fan knows that!
