Hey I ain't judging you, it's just I sometimes also do some major mistakes when I am pressured to end it within the turn that I realize later and I thought it was weird how it's so clear to notice the right moves when I am not actually playing, ever happened to you?

but graceful charity was a far better card at that point, Hand Destruction = - 3 + 2 where you must pick the discards before hand whereas graceful = + 3 - 3 and you pick the discards after you draw the 3 cards, unless there's something in your opponent's hand that you want him to discard Graceful will always be better than hand destruction
