    Whats your oppinion about fasting for detoxification?

    If it is a good idea in the first place, how long should it be as a maximum, and should it be water or juices?

    I am taking PE JOGGING,

    activities:

    -1 1/2 mile jog (my time 17 minutes 15 seconds)

    -4 sets of 600 meter jog (my instructor claims this as interval training)

    I felt tired, sleepy, and deprived of energy after 1 1/2 mile jog. You said long oxidative stress lowers our growth hormones. So Is the 1 1/2 mile jog killing me?

    Why do I feel so sleep/tired afterwards?

    About the 4 sets of 600 meter jog, I rested the same amount of time It took me to jog 1 set.

  • Dr. Pompa.....I like your idea. But I got a question. Why does it take 24 hours to replace the sugar which was burnt in a short burst exercise. For example.....my heart will feel extreme pressure during the workout during the workout but it does take 24 hours to be normal. More over we do eat carbs during this 24 hour period. Why 24-36 hours? Could you please explain?
