I used to be a phlebotomist. It is not painful with a little butterfly needle, its just scary. It used to make me feel bad to draw little kids but I just kept telling myself that I wasnt really hurting him. Trust me its much better for the phlebotomist and the kid in the long run if the Mom is calm (even laughing) than the ones that freak out or even cry! Cmon Mom, its just a tiny little needle!
