Again db you just do not know the Scriptures or the power of God, mouthing your lies trying to trick others. Archeology is proving the Bible day-by-day and the census you mention has been confirmed by records of the Roman Empire. This uneducated person you reference doesn't understand what he has "supposedly" read. God puts forth His uncompromising moral standards, the Law, which stand in stark contrast to man's morals that were corrupted by sin. Because a holy God cannot tolerate sin and therefore the relationship between man and God was broken. God himself, in His love and mercy for us, had to send the perfect atonement to reconcile us to Him. That sacrifice was His perfect Son, Jesus! Same unchanging loving God.

We establish that the New Testament is from God because Jesus is God, and since the NT tells of His life, that is it.

I think you will find the oldest tree is about 8000 years old, in Norway from memory. The New Testament was written AFTER the old testmament. So apparently the authors just reverse engineered the prophecy. A good example of this is the story of Bethlehem and the census. The gospel writers HAD to fabricate the story to make the prophecy come true. And there is plenty of contradiction here with one gospel saying Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus going to Egypt, which is a long way away.

He found that the best way to challenge their faith was to demonstrate that their own book disproves itself. For example, there are numerous verses which show that Yahweh is an arsehole. These verses show that it is immoral to worship him, but more importantly that the bible is manmade, because other bible verses say Yahweh is perfect.
