@Retrontario another time they incorporated a specific toy was c. 1991, as I recall that commercial, Scrooge buys presents at Canadian Tire for the Cratchit family, which included "Go-Go, My Walking Pup" and "Yo-Yo, My Walking Kitty", and a keyboard. "Play us a carol, will you, Tim?" said Scrooge, to which Tiny Tim played a very modern rendition of Jingle Bells or what have you.

its a great commercial,love the way its done,and seeing cricket ,teddy ruxpin , the talking mickey mouse and some cabbage patches on the right side,magical

This commercial made me feel so happy. I loved seeing those old toys. Cricket, Teddy, Alf, and i think Puffalumps! rated this 5 stars and favourited it!! I totally remember the commercials with old Scrooge in them!!!

i can almost hear the canadian tire "whistle" tune (from their current commercials since they launched their "for days like today" campaign) on this one... :D
