NASCAR may seem like it's pointless to most people out there compaired to most sports, but there is different kind of conditioning involved in the sport! Mind you those cars are 3400 lbs with 800+ hp now. Most bench racers can't handle their civics! The temps inside the cars can reach somewhere 'round 200+ degrees on the hot days. On top of that the drivers at most tracks are experiencing up to 2 or so G-forces on and off for 3-4 hours during the race. Not many people can handle that...sorry :P
