  • and, of course, russell was already doing experimental work before 1975...

  • Even if it is (and I don't agree, because of the different use of reverb, different instruments used, their voices being quite dissimilar and so on) so what? I'd say influenced by rather than a derivative work or a straight up copy.

  • I've really fallen in love with Russell's work. I especially like his cello/vocal work. I have this "Sleeping bag records comp" on vinyl thats really good. His use of samples in that record is amazing. "Wild Combination," the doc on him its really good too, although its got an abrupt ending unfortunately.

  • Arthur and Phil Niblock were good friends and contemporaries, as I recall.

  • Did Russell know Phill Niblock? Do you know any more about the circumstances behind the making of this film?
