@aebi991 yeah it threw me off too. I grew up to the "love" version. Maybe like so many others, he got older, experienced more of the wiles of the world, and let it all taint the original message just a tad. Just guessing. You know, like when some of our singer song writer heros from the past become all political and stuff. Life changes people. I prefer to remember the old days just the way they were myself. Still "love" this tune.

@aebi991 Wow your right. I would imagine it had to do with looking back all those years ago and realizing the difference. I figure by this point he had been married a handful of times. Thus he had a different perspective on it.

he didn't do it here, so maybe he wasn't into this crowd.
