One of my favourite cutscenes from Neverwinter Night's "Hordes of the Underdark". Was so awesome and epic. haha good old Mephistopholes. Also hang about after the insanity lapse.

  • @Patriota1389 (year old reply lol) what do you expect from satin? LOL

  • @Damocles178 Ah yeah I've played Storm of Zehir so I am familiar with creating a party, and indeed I do miss the personalities companions usually have but the game probably has enough character to make up for it. I'll have to try it and who knows, maybe they'll revisit it in a new game - they're bring back older licenses all the time.

  • @CaptainTrekkie Icewind Dale is definetely something you should try; the only drawback to it is having to create your own group which means characters wouldn't have their own personality but it's definetely fun :)

I wouldn't mind another game where you get to revisit that region :D

  • @Damocles178 Haha yeah I found the spirit energy to be awkward at first, it does become easier to regulate with time. Spending time satiating and not consuming spirits all over the show does pay off, albeit eventually lol. And indeed the music really is grand, unfortunately I've never played IWD, but I've been told I must haha, however I have heard the soundtrack and I get why it gives a similar feeling hehe. There is a lot of atmosphere in both soundtracks.

  • @CaptainTrekkie I agee that Mask Of The Betrayer expansion is amazing; the music in it almost makes me feel like I'm playing Icewind Dale again; very atmospheric especially in the shadow temple :D. The only thing that annoys me about it is that spirit energy thing as it almost makes me want to move through areas as quick as possible but ah well at least there's satiate if all else fails :)

  • @Damocles178 As a WoW player I can say it's got a lot better, but still isn't the RPG experience it deserves, the strategy games did that better. Although I hold high hopes for Biowares The Old Republic, an RPG I can play with friends that they didn't hear about from me would be nice haha. But yes NWN 3 would have been great, and this annoying MMO trend will hopefully end soon, they just die out anyway, with a couple of exceptions. And rarely do they hold candles to other games. Urgh, Cryptic.

  • @Damocles178 He really is a fantastic boss, and the options you have with his True Name add a lot more enjoyment to it, as he's not just a "die by fire" boss if ya know what I mean. However I liked Blackguard Aribeth, I thought that held a bit of weight thanks to her falling from grace. I can safely say if you've only just started Mask of the Betrayer you'll enjoy it. I found MotB to be fantastic and charming. One of my favourites at least hehe.

  • @Spfork08 This expansion came out in late 2003 and the expansion before it (shadows of undrentide) came out in mid 2003 :) . The original NWN came out in 2002,

  • @CaptainTrekkie I wish they could've just made a NWN 3 the way it should be instead of opting for the online market. I'm sick of MMO's being everywhere I look. World of Warcraft is alright but it's rather gay that it is more popular than the original warcraft series..... I'd take the original Warcraft Stragety games over WOW anyday.

  • Easily the best boss in the entire NWN franchise by far :) (That goes for the 2nd one too). I cannot say anything about the NWN 2 expansions though as I've only recently started mask of the betrayer.

  • @CaptainTrekkie Now I will proceed to drown my sorrows with a Luskan ale and go replay Baldur's Gate. I feel your pain, man.

  • I got his true name at the end, and we lived happily ever after -^__^-

    Love him

  • @CaptainTrekkie I thought the same when I heard it was cryptic who was gonna make it. They're gonna turn NWN into bullshit.

  • HAHAHAH, yeah, nobody is going to figure out that one. is it a game, is it madness, or is it hell, or maybe all the same thing?????? :s

  • @numb3r5ev3n I saw the news title on Kotaku "Neverwinter Nights is back!", I literally said "yes, it's go time" out loud, then I read further. It's been made by Cryptic. I wouldn't get your hopes up tbh, I'm definitely not, imo they make bad trash, of course it's just my opinion. Finally, not everything needs to be an MMO, they are just cashing in and turning a brilliant RPG into a load of trash actioner with "you can has co-op" which you could do anyway with NWN. Curse you Cryptic!

  • Is anyone gonna play the upcoming MMO? I have to admit, I'm kind of excited about it.

  • As Tomi would say : "I LOVE THIS PART!"

  • press the ~ key, (it's near ESC :p) and type in: (case sensitive)

    DebugMode 1

    Then you have several options.

    GiveXP #

replace # with the desired number, use something like 9999999 if you want max level. the game will then enter the so called "target mode". now you just need to click on the character you want the exp boost to apply to. most likely YOUR character or henchman.

other commands you could use are: dm_levelup - rinse and repeat

    dm_givelevel # - increase current level by #.

  • Yeah I need to work out how to do that.

    I really don't have a clue though

  • Crikey, that sounds like a roundabout way of doing things. Considering you can just give xp through DM commands, saving yourself about an hour and 50 minutes.

  • Has anybody else used the little cheat thing I found to go up levels really fast?

You make a new module, put an encounter on infinate respawns then put in something really weak (like a rat) make it immobile and put it's challange rating up really really high. You can go from level 1 to level 40 in like 2 hours. But I only discovered it when I was on level 27.

  • i glitched myself into a cinematic before and had to start the 3rd chapter over again

  • lol, NVW, has to be one of the best games ever
