Dang! I live here in Simi, towards the middle of town, and from where I was it just looked like a bunch of brown stuff in the sky. This shot is awesome!

You had a great view on the fire. Where abouts were you standing? I hope it didnt effect your house. Lucky for us the fire got under control. But I think it would have had to burn through a great deal to reach woodland hills anyway. Still. we could smell and see the ash in the garden.

The point is obviously to answer the first question. The microphone picks up substantial wind noise and my narration may be unclear. Note that nothing I said is particularly insightful, just a summary of what I read on the various news reports and what I was seeing.

Sorry, the winds were between 30 and 60MPH on the peak, so the narration is surely obscured. I will try to post a transcript in the next day or so.
