yea its happened to me alot, its not ricochet or anything. its just lag like it happened to me on the pit like 5 times so far, when a guy jumps from training to get the flag, and im down by sniper. the bullet is shown hitting the ledge not him but i still get the kill usually.

i think you just lagged and the first shot actually killed you, after all it did go straight through your chest.

its called a glitch. i have done the same thing to someone and i dont even know how to hack or anything. the game lags out a little bit and the bullet goes one way but the game thinks it does something else. i did that by shooting the edge of the ground while hiting a guy in the head. and like yours there was no bullet trail. so there is your answer.
