walked into a model shop today and noticed the price of these trains. I'm not an enthusiast, but curious as to why they are so expensive(Bassett lowke that is).

you have got a very good train. i noticed steam. does it use distilled water?

Very Nice. Today, prior to viewing this, I have decided to do as you have done: 32mm and 45mm dual gauge. What track are you using? Thank you. Now, all I need is an O Scale Bassett-Lowke Live steam Mogul in Crimson Lake!

Track is made from Cliff Barker code 200 parts (01702 217422).
I use filtered water: distilled would be good.
The water is heated by meths and powers the 2 cylinders; these engines use real steam.
