  • Question... my PS3 Factory OFW was 3.40, right now I have 4.00

If I buy a new HDD, will it be possible to have 3.40 OFW again?

  • @TOALEWA466 Not true. You can actually get a 1TB drive working with the correct adapter.

The main problem with upgrading the hdd is to find one that doesn't skip and stutter on FMV/cutscenes on certain games. Sony, for some reason, made this only work with SATA1 and not SATA2 so most new drives will cause tons of problems.

Son still seems to think 160GB is enough, even while some game downloads are topping 26GB!.. Everything is going digital and we have no space to download it.
