A 1942 Hawaiian-Hollywood fantasy starring Betty Grable, Victor Mature, Hilo Hattie and Jack Oakie. Betty Grable plays her typical "beautiful-girl-who-is-mean-to-men" role.

  • 15,000 hits--not bad for a 70 year old movie--proving that the forties had fun, good music, class and pretty girls all at once. I feel like having a Hurricane with this one!! Wonderful, thanks for posting!!!

  • Thank you so much for uploading!! This is one of my favorite movies!!

  • Jeez, I hope they were fighting WWII for something more important than the Lindsey Lohan of the forties, Betty Grable.

  • As the GIs in the South Pacific and elsewhere knew, Miss Grable was well worth fighting WWII for. Thank you for this confection!

  • One of my favorites. Thank you so much for posting!! I recorded this on VHS over twenty years ago off of American Movie Classics Channel...haven't seen it in ages. Bless you! <3

  • Ahh the Good Old Days. At least when the leading lady spread her legs on the casting couch, she kept her dignity, only the Actors and Producers knew she was a whore. These days, forget it. It's on DVD. Women get tough, stand up for yourselves and stop this shit.

  • We loved to watch these films when we were kids way way back, a bag of toffees, if ya had the rationing coupons to get em and we did'nt think life could get much better, and come to think of it maybe it did'nt. And as for the person who did'nt think colour was around, don't forget that Gone With The Wind was made in stunning colour in 1939/

  • Are you people whacked? Color was well on its way by 1940. The question is why this particular film has suddenly been dropped from the Fox listings. This is part of a series of films, many of which are just as good, but this one, and a couple others have not made it onto DVD, or other internet availability aside from this format.

  • In stereo!
