A lot of people hate Skrillex not because he's shit but because his music has given rise to a bunch of teenagers who think they know everything about Dubstep because they've heard the Scary Monsters EP. Even if he hasn't professed to be a Dubstep artist he's inadvertently muddied the genre to the point where several people think he actually invented it. This annoys Dub heads because Dubstep isn't about piercing buzzsaw synths or chipmunk vocal samples. Fact, not hate.

And actually I diddn't do everything before everyone else, I would have never heard of dubstep if it wasn't for Skrillex. The difference between me and the people who had heard of Skrillex through his 'metal' background is that I am aware of what once was dubstep, and i'm just living on the memory as I respect origins.
