@AmazingGalaxy LOTR won 17 Oscars. Harry Potter won none (but has been nominated for 12) South Park has won a LOT of Emmy's. So they're not really jealous. All three (Harry Potter, South Park, LOTR) are great series though :)

@N0VA64 True, and how indefinite that is, I love South Park too, I was also stating a joke. Well actually Harry Potter has won and incredible amount of Awards, also it may win 3 Oscars this February. I love Lord of the Rings, but I believe they are both superior. You can't compare them. Also winning an Oscar doesn't determine the quality and success of a series. I'm happy it won them! :), however just because they won so many Oscars which I'm pleased, doesn't mean HP is a bad series.

Also I think you're misunderstanding the joke ;), its more making fun of cartman than it is harry potter. That said, Harry Potter may sell copies, but in terms of quality, LOTR (the books AND the movies) is undoubtedly superior. Oscars won by all 8 Harry Potter movies: 0. Oscars won by Return of the King: 11 (all three movies won a total of 17)

Well, I love Harry Potter and LOTR. They are both awesome, and they both deserve their fame and awards!
I think we can all agree that LOTR & HP is better than Twilight, right? =/
