I once came across a game called K.U.L.T. which was a very dark game...a bit too dark for my taste, but what it did really well was the D20 based rule and combat system. Combat was very deadly. A single bullet could definitely kill you instantly. What made PC's special was the fact that you had a chance to cheat fate by spending destiny points (or whatever it was called) which sort of worked like XP. You never had a lot of them, though. As a result you would avoid combat if possibe.
I enjoyed the game, very simple to pick up and play. Some of the things in the game don't make much sense but overall still a good package. One thing I really did like was the wealth system in keeping everything simple.
I was disappointed in this game's gunplay as well as vehicles. The guns are practically all exactly the same, and there are noticeable gaps and useless weapons (a minigun is exactly the same statistically as, say, an MG3). The guns also aren't very realistic, in the ways described before and in their actual weight, etc (for example, a 40mm grenade is sigbificantly less effective than a standard frag grenade, a point not reflected by the real world alternatives).
Probably the most interesting aspect of the game is in Urban Arcana what associations people have between real-life evildoers and monsters. Which type of criminal is what beast?
I like this system its easy quick and the new stuff is fun like blood and vigilance

I like this system and I really LOVE the wealth system.
Its easy to start a character and if you have a GM who likes to be creative and such, you're gonna have an awesome time.
My group is trying a modified version of this with zombies, our GM looked some diseases and such up and found a way to use it in-game.

Vehicles, meanwhile, make no se
