  • what hospital were you at? I live in orange county also.

  • I was at Chapman Medical Center in Orange and did not dig it. I wanted to have it done at South Coast Medical Center but my insurance would only pay for Chapman.

  • Holy cow! You moved into your room for a month!! Haha! I don't suppose you are a light traveller? And yeah, weird that they let you see your room before you had surgery. So where are your post-op videos at home...still waiting:)

  • I know! Howlucky was that! I think it was because I got there early. My surgeon told me to be there at 9 for surgery at 11 while the hospital scheduled me for 1:30.

  • wow, you got into your room BEFORE surgery. Lucky you. I had the breathie thing. It's important to do it, really helps. I will be surprised if you are ever awake long enough to watch a movie lol, let me know!

All will go great and stay away from the grocery store lol.

  • I tried to watch a movie and kept dozing off. Thank goodness they were movies I owned and had already seen a million times :) No, I did not run away to the grocery store - way to much traffic :)

  • That neck pillow really helped me...I wish they would have shown me to my room to get set up before surgery...

  • NOTE: They would not let me take the Gas-Ex, thank God I did not need it. The Glycerine Sticks were kind of gross. I liked the Oasis Mouth Spray and Listerine Strips much better.

  • Apparently the anesthesia causes the lungs to hold phlem and it shallows the breathing. The breathy thing is to make sure you are taking very deep breaths so that you don't get pneumonia. I guess it is a different way of doing things. Did they encourage you to cough and take deep breaths post surgery?

  • hi

in the uk i never had or had to blow into one of those breathy things ??

they never tested my lungs ever??

different way of doing things i suppose

    anyway good luck..
