Cash for Clunkers has been an extreme success. Automakers continue to boost production, but some dealerships still await their reimbursements. Terrell Brown reports.
some of those car bodies looked pretty nice....no rust. I think I would have rather dropped about 4 grand into a good solid clunker.....have everything fixed, detailed and polished than go into debt on a $20,000+ car with high insurance costs and high depreciation
If the dealerships follow the rules set forth in the CARS program they nothing to worry about. When the dealer takes a car that simply and clearly does not qualify, then that dealer has a problem. Beyond that, I dont see any reason why the dealer couldnt get a short term loan guaranteed by the federal government rebates. That is, if they really cant wait.

Some of the money got out, but not 3 billion I believe the end total, by around 7PM on Monday it will end to avoid going in access of the funds

Site says it's optional for whomever to scrap the car in salvage or crush them outright, a damn shame I say
