This is something of an experiment of mine. I've seen a number of takes on a darker version of The Wizard of Oz and I figured since I haven't made a fake trailer in a while that I'd get back into it with this. While it's not really more of a collage of images set to music, I feel that it gets across what I initially imagine for a more adult story. I realize that I don't really focus too much on Dorothy here, but I wanted to get across how the magic of this world is in the restraint of realism while the reality of this world is still very surreal and timeless.
The very basic plot is that Dorothy finds a way into this parallel world and accidentally kills the Queen of the Eastern Empire. The people of the coastal village Munshka are uncertain of how to take this however as the Queen was a tyrannical monster, but also the one woman holding back the Endless War from reaching their village. The Witch of the North had foreseen this and had already secretly arrived in the village a few days before Dorothy. She informs Dorothy that because she's an outsider to their world, she is incapable of succumbing to the powerful sorcery of the Eastern Queen's sister who rules over the Western Empire. This makes her an ideal candidate to recruit the army of the Oz of the Emerald Dynasty who has been reluctant to enter the war against the Twin Empires.
The plot is mostly the same from there as the book, but the characters have changed. Scarecrow is an ostracized politician who was beaten nearly to death and crucified, but somehow managed to survive though not remembering much of his past. The Tinman was a former general to the Vinski Republic before it was overthrown by the Western Empire. After surrendering, he and his army were forced to battle the Gilikin military for the amusement of the Twin Empires. The Cowardly Lion is now troubled serial killer with a split personality; one that wishes to repent for his evil ways and another that wishes to destroy everything of beauty. This crew of tortured souls all manage to band together in the effort of finally defeating the Twin Empires and ultimately their own demons.
I feel as though this could be a beautiful story about inner conflict tied together by an epic journey through a war torn land that still has magic deep down within its heart.
Hopefully if this trailer gets enough of a response, I'll do another one that delves even further into the story.
This is pretty good. I love the names you chose and the Twin Empires is a very nice touch. Let me see if I can guess who's who: Lucy is Dorothy; Queen Elizibeth I is the Witch of the East; both Hamlet and Frankenstein's Monster are the Scarecrow before and after; The King from Kingdom of Heaven is the Tin-man; the Mutant and the man restrained by spikes is the Cowardly Lion; and that Crow-Creature is the Wicked Witch of the West. Did I get them right?

@PrinceoftheAbyss Close. Hamlet is meant to be Oz and the Crow is supposed to be a flying monkey. Beyond that, everything else is right on the mark.
