I don't consider the Sig to be an "AR type." The bolt, action and gas system are not like the AR and were developed independently by the Swiss.
It fires the same 5.56 round but outside of bullets none of the parts are not even close to interchangeable (including the butt stock). Well, the Sig can accept an AR type stock but the AR can't use the folding Swiss style stock.

@ealnav WTF? That is analogous to asking "WHY DO YOU NEED SO MUCH MONEY?"
I can't follow the logic?

Great video brother! I'm a retired OIF Infantryman and have been considering a Piston Operated AR for a while now. Your video was very helpful and it has turned me on to the LWR. Keep up the good work!

what's your preference, DI or Piston?

This is the best 30 minute review.

Thanks for the video great information. It looks like the sigs barrel is tapered? Could you check and let me know? I know my Remington 700 barrel is tapered for accuracy according to them. It would be interesting to see if sig is doing something similar.

Who cares if a Sig 556 is not an Armalite Rifle patterned rifle. Sig makes AR style rifles anyway.

How does the stag model 8 compare to these rifles?
how often do you clean the LWRC piston parts? Is it as often as the bolt carrier?

Don't LWRC guns now ship with one piece bolt carriers?
