In this part of the video, I used two items that I bought separately:

- Auto Meter 3209 Tachometer Shock Strap Mounting Accessory. I bought mine on www.Amazon.com for 15 and change. There are other options, this one looks great, works perfectly, and can't be touched cost-wise. This is what you will use to mount the speedo in the new location.

- H.D. Handlebar clamp. (Part # 56115-95) This clamp cost me $36.57 after tax. It has a great look b/c it's straight from Harley, so nothing matches better. Other brands go from $15 to $200. You will need this to replace the factory clamp b/c the factory one will have a big gaping hole where the speedo used to be!

- Threadlocker (just like LocTite)

  • awesome bro! glad it helped!

  • Awesome! Glad it could help... That's why I made it. I will be posting "how to change your brakepads in the next week (when I clear some space on my iPhone to edit the video, LOL)

  • Hey @Koompa63m Thanks for the comment and for watching. Getting the bars off was really easy.

Putting the new ones back on was a little difficult, but you can skip my misery by making sure the left and right controls are put back on before you clamp it back down. If you secure the handlebar to the bike before that, you may not be able to get it left or right far enough to get one on!

Let me know how it goes!

  • Sorry for the late reply. The eyebrow does hold the headlight on, but it was easy to take the whole thing off. I didn't look at how it was connected, but I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult. Just keep in mind that you are going to have to come up with another method of mounting the lamp if you want to keep the brow off...

  • @jgreco87

It's made by Scotch. By Sunday morning I should have part three of the video up, and in the beginning of part three I actually show the packaging of the tape. It's really common, in the paint section of Home Depot and it's called Indoor/Outdoor Mounting Tape. It's gray, double sided, and covered in red plastic (that you have to peel off to expose one side).

Thanks for watching, please rate if you enjoyed the vid guys

  • Watched all three of your videos. They are simple to the point and you made it look super easy. I am stoked you put these videos out. Part names, where you got them, and the tip about the dimples in the bars for your cables was good lookin out. If you do any other projects on your bike make sure to post up videos.
