A gathering to promote, celebrate, and recruit for the good works of non-profits and individuals who volunteer to make an impact in the health and well being of all, whether it's locally, nationally, or internationally. Over 1000 already registered to attend the upcoming summit on medical and health volunteerism April 16 - 18th, 2010, at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. Over 200 speakers and nonprofit exhibitors, and over 25 sponsors from Atlanta, across the United States, and around the world... and this is just the launch of this effort to promote medical volunteerism. Spin offs will include a nonprofit organization to create journals, books, radio, videos, regional events, etc. The three objectives are to: 1) inspire health-related volunteerism 2) create synergy between volunteer efforts 3) give a voice to volunteers doing good work locally and all over the world. Registration is free of charge and open to all, whether you are a health professional or a lay person. Visit www.emoryimvc.org to register to attend.
