My closest neighbor spent $200 at the vet getting cats patched up after the "TIGER" attacked them. We couldn't trap it, too smart! It would come around and beat up the cats for their food. It was BIG, and mean. We finally had to sit out in our yards with shotguns and wait for it. Sad, but that is a rare occurrence. Now we again have a stable cat population which keeps mice out of our houses for which we are grateful. Domestic outside cats that are fed don't devastate the wildlife.

It is a shame that too many folks are unwilling to spend the money to have cats sterilized. Just like you mentioned they can become a nuisance. I live ten miles from the nearest city. I am always glad to see a few cats roaming through my 3 acres because I know they are on the prowl for mice. But sometimes people drop them off out here and they become dangerously aggressive to the domestic cats. We had one a year ago fighting and doing severe damage to the farm cats.

when your trap has a nasty stray in it you can put it in a 55 gallon drum of water or you can put the cage under a cardboard box and run the car exhaust into it , these methods work great for fixing stray cats, i also started using posion which works well also, draino and kippers with an antifreeze chaser, i dont care what any of you kitty lovers have to say, i just keep killing them, the funny thing is there aint shit you can do about it,lol if you love your kitty keep it indoors:)

I bet your one of those dog people that think they're the perfect pet...well what about the dogs that go running around destructing property and biting people and killing livestock what do you say we do with them? .....just wondering if you would feel the same about dogs as you does these cats
you mention your self in the video....I quote" And instead of finding homes for the cats they just let'um out" See even you know that cats living in the wild IS WRONG!!!! So why once you have them trapped would you go and release them again?? Like I said keep them or kill them but they SHOULDNT BE RELEASED.

I agree, cats living in the wild as a result of irresponsible pet ownership is wrong, but your reasoning is flawed. Studies show that neutering feral cats is much more effective than killing them outright. With each cat you kill, another cat will move in to take its place, therefore, the reproductive cycle continues. If you trap, neuter and return the cats, the colony is effectively managed and, in time, the cats will disappear as they grow old or die off as a result of natural causes.

It wouldn't be difficult to transfer to the box traps, if you'd completely cover the droptrap, then cover the box trap top and sides only - so it looks like a way out!
Good job!

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try that the next time I have to use the drop trap.

You should have destroyed the entire colony. You have decided to kill thousands of birds and other animals thru your actions. There is nothing Humane about introducing the wrong animal in the wrong environment!

Reputable studies indicate that it is not feral cat predation that is negatively affecting native wildlife populations. The decline in these populations is due to habitat destruction and pollution among other things caused by humans. In other words we are the culprits, not the cats.
