@HotPocketsBoy haha too true, sometimes I think it's just a way for them to show how much money they have. I go to Starbucks often, I'm from Scotland but the similarities with Manhattan branches are obviously clear haha. I never write freely, only when I need to (assignments, essays etc.) and when I do it's usually at home where it is quiet. :D

@ConnorJP728 well i guess Starbucks has everything you need really. its kind of a nice young environment filled with energy. theres coffee, pastries etc everything you need. plus the free wifi. I never go to starbucks but the ones in Manhattan in some parts of the city are like hipster central. I write from time to time but i couldnt take my work to a place and bust out a 1000 dollar laptop while everyone is staring at me lol

@HotPocketsBoy Starbucks must be like a glowing beacon to them. I saw two people in there the other day and they were both sitting at the same table, but talking to each other through their laptops. My friend and I sat at the table next to them and they gave us the biggest dirty look ever, who's the real one with the problem.

@ConnorJP728 sometimes you want to leave your home aka a cave for a writer and write somehwere else. sometimes new ideas come to your head in a new enivorment

Anyone who works exclusively from home will eventually get cabin fever and look for a place where they can work on a laptop, a place that isn't their house.
