In 1994 I cried as this ran, because I knew an amazing human experience was coming to an end. In 2009 I cry because I realize that this may be the best music I will ever hear. It's sheer perfection.

@bricjohn agreed, and I am not sure they ever can be these were the last small, and humble winter games, set in a far-away Norwegian village, snow-covered forests and pristine new-fallen snow, the simpler times of 1994, before billion-dollar security budgets, terrorists, etc... I don't think the Lillehammer games can ever been replicated... I feel privileged that these are the first winter games I truly remember... I was 11 1/2 when they happened... I have some vague memories of Albertville tho

@TheSeattlehawk94 I agree. NBC sucks hard when it comes to covering the Olympic games. ABC though really set the standard on how to cover the Olympics and no one has come close to Jim Mckay. Bob Costas is awful.

CBS had the best music, announcers, and really captured the Winter Games at it's finest...Hope they bid and win them back..
